Credits & account / PRODUCTION GUIDE
What remains available after you cancel future membership renewal?
Canceling auto-renew stops future renewal while current paid access continues to its paid-through date. It does not turn every credit pool into a permanent balance or delete completed assets. Confirm the cancellation status, remaining access period and individual credit expiry dates in your account, then plan any new work from the current permissions and quote.
Cancel the renewal, then confirm the account state
Open Credits & account in the account that owns the membership. Use Cancel auto-renew for the relevant subscription and read its confirmation. After the operation completes, check that the current paid period is still shown and auto-renew is off. A click followed by an error is not a confirmed cancellation.
The intended change concerns the next renewal. In an illustrative Studio campaign, canceling during a paid month does not mean the remaining days immediately disappear. Keep the actual paid-through date from the account rather than calculating it from a remembered signup day. Payment confirmation, subscription status and access dates can carry more information than a simple canceled label.
Map the four separate clocks
| Record | After confirmed cancellation | Planning consequence |
|---|---|---|
| Auto-renew state | Future automatic renewal is stopped | Do not expect another monthly allowance |
| Paid-through date | Current paid access continues to that date | Use current permissions while valid |
| Credit-pool expiry | Each source keeps its applicable rules | Check allowance available for the planned day |
| Completed asset | Existing assets remain downloadable | Reuse approved work where appropriate |
Read these records together. A remaining extra-credit balance does not extend membership permissions. A completed image is not another pending generation, so downloading it is a separate activity from submitting new member-only work. The table describes the current Itemlume workflow; the specific dates and balances must come from your own account.
Budget from credit dates rather than the canceled badge
Inspect monthly, rollover, extra and earlier credits where your account shows them. Monthly allowance belongs to its paid cycle. Rollover depends on eligible on-time renewal and is not a promise after renewal stops. Extra packs have their own expiry; earlier purchased credits retain their applicable previous rules. Cancellation does not merge those sources into a newly extended allowance.
For the Studio campaign, list the essential remaining work and compare it with the paid period and current quote. After that period, feature access and resolution choices may change even if some credits remain. Earlier-purchase access can be a separate exception, so inspect the actual permissions rather than assuming every former member receives identical access. Avoid spending merely because a date is approaching when no useful asset needs creation.
Keep cancellation and refunds as different requests
Use that principle to check the actual billing relationship, without importing another service's payment routes. Itemlume's current monthly workflow uses the workspace cancellation action for its PayPal subscription. Closing a browser, logging out or deciding not to generate again is not that cancellation action.
Stopping renewal does not itself request reimbursement for the paid period or a completed generation. If you have a payment dispute or refund question, consult the current refund and cancellation policy with the relevant order evidence. Do not assume that cancellation restored every spent credit or that a saved creative becomes unusable merely because recurring billing stopped.
Preserve usable work and a clear stopping record
Download any approved assets needed for the next publication stage and record their intended uses. Existing assets remain available for download after cancellation under the current workflow, but an external campaign still needs accurate product information and valid permissions. The membership status cannot approve a new crop, caption or changed product edition.
Keep a concise record containing cancellation confirmation, paid-through date, unfinished tasks and the next responsible person. Check submitted tasks through Generation tasks; canceling renewal is not a task-cancellation command. If status remains unclear, report the subscription record rather than creating another membership to force a refresh. The credit-pool guide explains allowance timing, while this record makes the renewal decision and its remaining boundaries explicit.

Frequently asked questions
Does canceling auto-renew cancel a video already submitted?
No. Check the submitted generation separately in Generation tasks. Renewal cancellation is a billing decision.
Do remaining extra credits keep member-only features unlocked forever?
No. Credit allowance and feature access are separate. Check the paid-through period and actual account permissions.
Can I still download an already completed image after cancellation?
The current workflow keeps existing assets available for download. Review the asset for the intended new use before publishing it.
