Marketplace, market and copy language: what each setting changes

Marketplace controls the intended visual context, market adds regional presentation guidance, and copy language controls generated wording. The website’s interface language is separate. These settings affect a new request; they do not rewrite an image that has already been generated.

Choosing Germany as a market with English copy is a valid combination. It can describe an English-language campaign aimed at buyers in Germany. The selector does not silently override the language you explicitly chose. If the intended copy is German, choose German as well.

02 / MARKETPLACE, MARKET AND COPY LANGUAGE: WHAT EACH SETTING CHANGES

Make the expected change visible in the brief

A Shopify lifestyle image for a ceramic mug can place the item in a restrained kitchen scene. A social-first TikTok Shop creative might need a stronger focal point and space for short copy. An Amazon-style identification view should prioritize the actual item. These are intended directions, not evidence of higher conversion or automatic compliance.

Use the workbench’s settings summary to check the combination before generating. Add concrete facts where localization matters: your actual measurement units, approved spelling, audience and verified offer. A market setting cannot establish whether a claim is permitted or whether a product certification exists.

03 / MARKETPLACE, MARKET AND COPY LANGUAGE: WHAT EACH SETTING CHANGES

Compare one setting at a time

  1. Keep the source product, aspect ratio and factual brief fixed.
  2. Choose the first marketplace and create one approved test.
  3. Change only the marketplace for a second request and compare hierarchy, context and information density.
  4. Test copy language separately if needed; compare wording and text rendering rather than unrelated backgrounds.

Generation is variable. One pair is a useful creative review, not a statistically controlled claim about the system. Record the settings and explain whether the difference meets your own campaign needs. Changing every control at once makes it hard to identify which decision helped.

04 / MARKETPLACE, MARKET AND COPY LANGUAGE: WHAT EACH SETTING CHANGES

Review localized content before publishing

Inspect names, numbers, units and punctuation in the generated image. Short phrases tend to be easier to verify than dense paragraphs. Keep the original approved copy in your campaign notes so a reviewer can compare it with the result. If a precise price or legal line is essential, add and verify it in a suitable editing workflow.

The same distinction applies to A+ modules and garment scenes: choose the channel and market for presentation, the language for copy, and the product facts for truth. None of these controls replaces a human product review.
