DELIVERY TROUBLESHOOTING / Product images

Why do product cutouts look misaligned after I center their layers?

Check the layer’s effective bounds and surrounding transparent space. Mathematical alignment of two different bounds does not necessarily align the visible merchandise or its intended shelf line.

01 / WHY DO PRODUCT CUTOUTS LOOK MISALIGNED AFTER I CENTER THEIR LAYERS?

Work through the cause

  1. Inspect each cutout on a contrasting background. Identify stray pixels, shadows and intentional breathing room before trimming anything.
  2. Choose a common visible reference such as a base line or product center. Align to that reference in a working layout, using guides where useful.
  3. Review the row at its delivery size. Keep physically meaningful size differences rather than enlarging every product to an identical apparent height.
02 / WHY DO PRODUCT CUTOUTS LOOK MISALIGNED AFTER I CENTER THEIR LAYERS?

A concrete case (illustrative)

Illustrative case: two bottles have equal-height source canvases, but one contains a larger transparent margin above its cap. Centering both canvases leaves their bases uneven. Aligning the visible bases addresses the layout without changing the bottle proportions.

Acceptance and next action

Pass when the chosen baseline is consistent and no retained shadow is clipped. State whether the row communicates actual relative scale or merely equal tile occupancy. Centered canvases alone cannot establish either interpretation.
