A+ product pages / DEEP-DIVE GUIDE
How to organize care and support information in A+ content
Separate care instructions from the company’s service policy. Care explains how to maintain the actual item; support explains where the customer can obtain help under the applicable published terms. Use verified source documents for both and omit details that have not been confirmed.
Build two source lists before writing
For an illustrative insulated lunch bag, the care source may specify surface cleaning and drying instructions. The support source may identify a help page and the information needed to ask about a defective zipper. These come from different owners and can change on different schedules. A care label does not establish a warranty, and a customer-service email does not establish a cleaning method.
Record the relevant product edition, market and document date. If the supplier changes the lining, earlier care guidance may no longer apply. If the business updates a service policy, an old image can continue displaying the previous wording even when the website text has changed.
Assign each fact to the right content role
| Customer question | Content role | Source needed |
|---|---|---|
| How should I clean it? | Usage advice or care explanation | Approved product instructions |
| Where can I find the full manual? | A clear route in destination-page text | Current manual location |
| What should I send when requesting help? | Support explanation | Current support process |
| What is covered and for how long? | After-sales information where appropriate | Applicable published policy |
Do not compress a qualified policy into an unconditional “lifetime replacement” badge. If a condition is necessary to understand the promise, keep the complete approved explanation available and use a cautious, accurate summary. This is a content organization task, not a way to create new service terms.
Choose imagery that does not contradict the instructions
A care illustration can accidentally teach the wrong action. If a bag is described as surface-clean only, showing it submerged in a sink contradicts the text. If a component must be detached before cleaning, the illustrated state matters. Use the source instructions to decide which action, object state and tools can appear.
Keep safety-critical and detailed procedural information in the official instructions. A generated image should not replace them. When the operation is hard to show accurately, a real photograph or plain destination-page text may be the clearer choice. The absence of an illustration is preferable to a convincing demonstration of an unsupported method.
Create separate modules only when needed
In A+ product pages, Usage advice can explain supported care actions; After-sales support can communicate verified service information. Select only the modules relevant to the item and supply the approved wording. Short English phrases are easier to compare with the source than a dense paragraph embedded in the image.
Shopify’s product-page examples show care and practical purchase information alongside product imagery. Use that organizational idea while keeping your own policies and instructions authoritative. Itemlume does not validate warranties, establish service eligibility or keep external manuals synchronized.
Review meaning and update responsibility
Have the product owner review the care explanation and the service owner review support wording. Confirm that illustrations, numbers and qualifications agree. Then inspect the modules at the destination’s normal display size. Contact routes and important conditions should not depend on deciphering tiny image text.
Keep an external record of which module contains which instruction or policy summary. When a source changes, find the affected assets before the next campaign uses them. Name a person or team responsible for that check. The published product page, approved documents and creative should describe the same current offer; attractive design cannot reconcile contradictory versions.

Frequently asked questions
Can AI infer washing instructions from the material?
No. Use the approved instructions for the exact product, including trims, coatings and assembled components.
Should support information and care advice share one module?
They can be close in the reading sequence, but keep their purposes and source documents distinct. Use separate modules when combining them makes either unclear.
Does a support badge create a verified warranty?
No. Only use wording grounded in the applicable published policy and reviewed by the responsible business owner.
