How to hand off creative work without sharing an Itemlume account

Hand over the files and decisions a collaborator needs for the next task. A reviewer, an external editor and a new creator need different packages. Use separate account access and an authorized external transfer route; receiving a downloaded image does not grant account access, source rights or publication approval.

01 / HOW TO HAND OFF CREATIVE WORK WITHOUT SHARING AN ITEMLUME ACCOUNT

Define the recipient's next action

Imagine an illustrative homeware brand asking a contractor to finish a generated lamp image. The contractor needs the approved output and exact caption, not the owner's Itemlume password. Another colleague who must make a new scene needs authorized product references and a brief. Treating both requests as share everything exposes information while leaving the actual task unclear.

Write the expected next action in one sentence: comment on composition, edit the approved file, generate a candidate or publish an approved asset. Identify the owner of that action. Keep billing details, unrelated campaigns and private support evidence outside the package unless they are specifically necessary and authorized.

02 / HOW TO HAND OFF CREATIVE WORK WITHOUT SHARING AN ITEMLUME ACCOUNT

Build a package that preserves the review context

For editing, provide the actual downloaded file, dimensions, selected version, approved product facts and any elements that must remain unchanged. Include a thumbnail when filenames are similar. For new creation, add only the references whose use by that collaborator is permitted and explain which are product evidence, model references or visual direction.

Keep permissions and restrictions in a concise external note. State whether the file is a candidate or release-approved, which destination is intended and who must review the next result. A collaborator should not need to infer these decisions from a task screenshot or an attractive mockup. Do not include credentials in the handoff document.

Choose the package by role

Recipient roleMinimum useful packageApproval still required

New creatorAuthorized references, facts and independent account accessNew output accuracy and permitted use

This table describes an external collaboration practice. It does not imply an Itemlume team workspace, cross-account asset transfer or shared model library. If the recipient needs to create again, they must use their own appropriate account and manually supplied authorized inputs.

04 / HOW TO HAND OFF CREATIVE WORK WITHOUT SHARING AN ITEMLUME ACCOUNT

Transfer through a route the team can control

Locate completed work in My assets or Generation tasks and download the selected result. Put the handoff package in an appropriate external file-sharing system with access limited to the intended recipient. Check that the recipient can open the actual file and that the source is complete; do not assume a preview link is a durable public-media address.

Looka recommends a shareable master for identity rules. Use the same practical idea for the lamp's brand restrictions: one current approved note, rather than conflicting copies. The sharing system's access controls and the merchant's review record remain external to Itemlume.

05 / HOW TO HAND OFF CREATIVE WORK WITHOUT SHARING AN ITEMLUME ACCOUNT

Confirm receipt without implying approval

Ask the contractor to confirm the received filenames, version and edit boundaries. When the finished lamp image returns, inspect product details and compare the exported caption with the approved wording. A successful file transfer is not a creative approval, and an approved source does not automatically approve later crops or added claims.

Record the new output identifier, reviewer and publication status in the campaign notes. Remove or revise external access when the collaboration ends according to the team's policy. This illustrative handoff keeps independent accounts usable while preserving the evidence another person needs to continue the work responsibly.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Frequently asked questions

Does this workflow share my Itemlume assets automatically with another account?

No. It describes manually transferring authorized files and context through an external route. Do not assume shared workspaces or account-to-account synchronization.

Should an editor receive my login details?

Give the editor the files and instructions needed for the task. Use separate account access when they need new creation rather than sending your credentials.

Does receiving the final file authorize publication?

No. State the approval status and destination explicitly, then review any edited export and its accompanying copy before release.
