Why is my product image metafield absent from Shopify’s dynamic-source picker?

Work through the cause

1. Identify the theme setting’s expected value, such as an image, text or a supported reference. Confirm which product or page is being previewed.
2. Inspect the metafield definition and the value on that specific resource. Do not change field types blindly on production data.
3. Test a compatible setting and source in a theme copy. If the theme lacks the required connection, ask its developer for a scoped implementation.

Illustrative case: a file-reference field is populated, but the selected text heading control does not offer it. The issue is a setting/source mismatch, not necessarily a failed upload.
