REFERENCE TROUBLESHOOTING / Product images
Can AI show whether my sprayer produces a mist or a jet?
A generated plume cannot establish a sprayer’s actual output. Use a genuine, appropriately documented spray reference when mist or jet appearance matters. Keep nozzle geometry, selected mode and visible plume linked to one real configuration rather than combining an attractive effect with an unrelated bottle.
Identify what the reference actually proves
AI can add a fine cloud to almost any nozzle shape, making the presentation look effective without showing how the product operates. A multi-mode sprayer introduces another ambiguity: a reference may show the head in one setting and the output from another. The visual task is to depict a documented event, not to prove droplet size, coverage or performance from simulated particles.
Prepare the evidence before generating
- Identify the actual sprayer variant, contents and supported mode relevant to the intended depiction. Use the product’s applicable instructions and appropriate capture arrangements.
- Capture the actual event or obtain suitable genuine evidence with the nozzle and output relationship understandable. Record context without presenting it as a standardized test.
- Keep a clear still reference of the nozzle and any visible mode indicator. Label each configuration in the brief.
- For a generated scene, retain the documented nozzle state and avoid exaggerating the plume. Use the genuine capture where output behavior is the key buying evidence.
Example creative request and a review matrix
Illustrative request: Create a presentation scene around this documented sprayer event. Preserve the actual nozzle geometry, selected state and representative visible output. Do not change a jet into a fine mist, add a wider cone or infer droplet-size and coverage claims. Where the output cannot be maintained accurately, omit the simulated plume.
| Observed symptom | Evidence to inspect | Decision |
|---|---|---|
| The head setting and plume come from different references | Compare configuration labels | Reject the mixed state |
| A narrow stream becomes a dramatic fog | Compare the actual event | Reject exaggerated output |
| The image is used as a droplet-size claim | Check whether appropriate measured evidence exists | Separate illustration from measurement |
Make the release decision
The final photograph should not imply tested output characteristics beyond the available evidence. A genuine demonstration with clear context may be more useful than a beautiful generated effect. Keep technical claims with their actual supporting records. When no real output reference exists, show the product without a plume rather than treating generative capability as evidence of spraying performance.

Frequently asked questions
Does a realistic mist image prove the product atomizes finely?
No. Visual realism does not establish measured droplet size or operating performance. Use appropriate actual evidence for those statements.
